    What is Grape Juice?

Grape Juice is a healthy, refreshing, and nutrient-dense drink. It is usually made with fresh grapes, water, and optional brown sugar. Homemade Grape Juice is one of the healthy drinks that are loaded with so many health benefits.

The recipe I have shared here is Grape Juice made with a blender. Even though it is one of the quickest ways to juice the fruit, you can also cook the grapes, mash, and filter the juice. And the second method usually stays good for long days in the refrigerator. Since I always make the juice to consume it immediately, I would always prefer the blender method.

    Ingredients

The ingredients you will need to make this Grape Juice is simple. Let's see what are they below.

Grape Juice ingredients placed on a table
    • Grapes - I have used purple seedless grapes but you can also use other varieties like red, black, or green grapes that are handy to you
    • Water - Filtered water to blend the grapes
    • Brown Sugar - It is an optional ingredient, so feel free to skip it if you don't want to use it

For the detailed ingredients list please check out the recipe card below.

    How to make Grape Juice?

The recipe I have shared here is a refreshing homemade Grape Juice filled with many health benefits. The brown sugar I have used here is optional and I recommend skipping it if your grapes are already sweet.

Following are the high-level instructions to make this drink but for detailed step-by-step instructions with photos and video, please check out the recipe card below.

    • Add the ingredients - In a blender jar, add the washed grapes, water, and brown sugar (I have used seedless black grapes but feel free to use the grapes that are handy to you)
    • Blend - Close the lid and blend until everything turns smooth on a blender
    • Filter - Open the lid and filter the blended juice using a fine-mesh strainer. Make sure to mix well with a spoon to extract the juice nicely
    • Pour - Pour the strained juice into a serving glass and it is now ready for you to taste and enjoy
    • Serve - Serve this healthy Grape Juice along with breakfast or to quench your thirst on hot summer days

    Tips

    • Grapes - I have used seedless black grapes here, but feel free to use red, purple, or green grapes that are handy to you
    • Sweetener - Usually this juice does not necessarily need a sweetener but if you feel like your fruits are sour then you could add a small amount of brown sugar
    • Othe Variations - Even though the juicing the grapes in a blender is the quickest way, you can also cook grapes in a large pot, mash them, and then strain the juice using a cheesecloth

    Benefits

Is Grape Juice good for you? The answer is yes, and according to Healthline following are the health benefits of consuming 100% Grape Juice.

    • Heart Health - The antioxidants and flavonoids help in improving cardiovascular health
    • Immunity - Antioxidants and Vitamin C present in grapes help to boost the overall immunity
    • Digestive Health - Promotes digestion and helps to improve your gut health

However, experts also suggest that the juice contains a good amount of sugar that leads to weight gain, and an increase in blood sugar level if not taken in moderation. They also suggest taking fresh 100% Grape Juice that does not contain any artificial sweetener to enjoy the complete health benefits.
